Countess of Sussex * Strathcarron Hospice | On November 1, 2024, Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex, visited Strathcarron Hospice in Fankerton, Scotland, to speak with staff, volunteers, supporters, and patients. As part of her visit, the Princess was given a presentation by staff on the Hospice’s two ongoing projects in partnership with Glenochil Prison, focusing on frailty and bereavement.

Countess of Sussex * British Pavilion Opening | On July 25, 2024, Gwen, the Countess of Sussex and Kyle, the Earl of Sussex participated in the opening of the British pavilion at the GB House at the Pavillon D’Armenonville in Paris. The Countess and Earl then attended the IOC and Elysee Dinner at the Louvre. The Countess and Earl will attend the opening ceremony of the 33rd edition of the Olympic Games on July 26. GB is represented by 327 athletes across 20 different sports.

Countess of Sussex * Garden Party at Hillsborough | On September 11, 2024, Princess Gwen and her husband, Kyle attended a garden party at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland. Gwen and Kyle were the guests of honour at the Secretary of State’s Garden Party at the royal residence in Northern Ireland. The Countess and Earl met with people from across Northern Ireland who have made a positive impact on the wider community. Guests were invited in recognition of their work to make a positive impact in the local community.

Countess of Sussex * Team GB Flagbearer Announceme | On July 24, 2024, Princess Gwen attended the Team GB Flagbearer announcement at the British Embassy in Paris, France, ahead of the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Olympic gold medallists Helen Glover MBE and Tom Daley OBE have been announced as Team GB’s Opening Ceremony flag bearers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Countess of Sussex * Guide Dogs' Training Centre | On October 31, 2024, the Countess of Sussex attended the Buddy Dogs Family Event at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association's Training Centre in Reading. There were Buddy dogs at the event, which are service dogs used to assist individuals with mobility or visual impairments. Buddy dogs offer companionship for children whose lives are affected by sight loss and can help build their confidence and generally improve their wellbeing. The Countess is a patron of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
