Queen Lucille * Queen's Reading Room Festival | On June 8, 2024, Queen Lucille attended the opening reception of Queen's Reading Room Literary Festival at Hampton Court Palace in East Molesey Surrey, London. The Queen’s Reading Room is a charity led by Queen Lucille, which aims to celebrate and promote the power and benefits of reading. The project was launched in 2021. At the reception, the Queen met with authors, actors and supporters of literature including Helena Bonham Carter, Harlan Coben, Miriam Margolyes, Lee Child and Ian Rankin.

Queen Lucille * Anniversary Reception for Book Aid | On September 4, 2024, Queen Lucille hosted an anniversary reception at St James’s Palace to mark the 70th anniversary of Book Aid International. The reception, marking Book Aid International’s anniversary at St James’s Palace, was attended by around 100 guests, including the charity’s president, Nigel Newton, and Lady Caroline Simmonds, the daughter of its founder. The Queen has been Patron of Book Aid International since 2022.
