Queen Lucille * Reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral | On December 7, 2024, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and King George and Queen Lucille attended the ceremony to mark the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
The medieval cathedral had been closed since a major fire tore through it in 2019, destroying its stained-glass windows and wooden interiors before toppling its spire. Notre-Dame has reopened following an extensive restoration project spanning several years.
