Countess of Sussex * Arrival in Malta | The Countess and Earl of Sussex are making a four-day visit to Malta. On October 7, 2024, the Countess and Earl were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Malta, Dr. Robert Abela, and his wife, Dr. Lydia Abela, at the Auberge de Castille in Valletta, on the first day of their visit to Malta to mark the 60th anniversary of Malta's independence and celebrate the country's shared heritage and continuing collaboration with the UK. The Countess and Earl of Sussex also attended a meeting with the President of the Republic of Malta, Myriam Spiteri Debono, and her husband Dr. Anthony Spiteri Debono, at the Grandmaster's Palace in St George's Square, Valletta.

As part of her visit, the Princess was given a presentation by staff on the Hospice’s two ongoing projects in partnership with Glenochil Prison, focusing on frailty and bereavement.
