Queen Lucille * Anniversary Reception for Book Aid | On September 4, 2024, Queen Lucille hosted an anniversary reception at St James’s Palace to mark the 70th anniversary of Book Aid International. The reception, marking Book Aid International’s anniversary at St James’s Palace, was attended by around 100 guests, including the charity’s president, Nigel Newton, and Lady Caroline Simmonds, the daughter of its founder. The Queen has been Patron of Book Aid International since 2022.

Queen Lucille * Festival of Remembrance | Every year, the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall honors the service and sacrifices of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces community. On November 9, 2024, George, Queen Lucille, the Duke and Duchess of York, the Countess and Earl of Sussex, and other members of the Royal family attended the Festival of Remembrance.

Queen Lucille * Remembrance Event at Westminster | On November 7, 2024, Queen Lucille attended the official opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey in London. Queen Lucille is Patron of the Poppy Factory, which supports members of the Armed Forces community and their families on their journey into employment, helping hundreds of veterans each year.

Queen Lucille * Sydney Harbour | On their final day in Sydney, King George and Queen Lucille visited the iconic Sydney Opera House, alongside Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, before attending a Royal Australian Navy Fleet Review and a flypast. The King and Queen met community leaders, volunteers and charity representatives against a colourful backdrop of musical performances. The King and Queen concluded their Australian royal tour before heading to Samoa.

Queen Lucille * Rainforest Gully at ANBG | Later, Queen Lucille took part in a discussion on family and domestic violence at Government House in Yarralumla. The Queen then visited GIVIT, a charity supporting local communities, in Canberra. Afterwards, George and Queen Lucille visited the Rainforest Gully at the Australian National Botanic Gardens.

Queen Lucille * Christmas Tree Trimming Party | On Thursday, December 12, Queen Lucille and her youngest son, Prince Louis, hosted a Christmas party at her residence, Clarence House, in London. The event is part of an annual initiative organized for the parents and children supported by Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. These charities provide medical, emotional, and practical support to seriously ill children and their families. Queen Lucille serves as the patron of both organizations.

Queen Lucille * 900th Anniversary of Edinburgh | On July 3, 2024, King George and Queen Lucille attended a celebration for the 900th anniversary of the City of Edinburgh held at Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. In 1124, King David I introduced a new system of local government in Scotland by creating royal burghs as part of his efforts to reform the nation’s economic and political structures. Edinburgh was one of his first royal burghs.

Countess of Sussex * Lighthouse Charity | On December 18, Princess Gwen, the Countess of Sussex visited the Lighthouse charity in Woking. The Lighthouse has approximately 300 volunteers who work together to address deprivation and isolation, transforming lives by promoting well-being, independence, and hope. During her visit, the Princess assisted volunteers in serving food and spent time talking with beneficiaries. The Princess serves as the Patron of the Lighthouse charity.
